November 23, 2015

Well what a week!

It was a really fast cool week we had conference with President Díaz and it went really well. We also had the District conference with all the members of the district. It's a big area as far as traveling so they did all the conference on Sunday instead of Saturday and Sunday like a normal stake conference it was a cool experience because our investigators were able to meet president and his wife, also Presidents son was there; who has been living in "Las Vegas" moapa valley, but is here for a little while longer so that was a cool conference.

After Zone Conference we had like a miniature interchange with the Assistants it was cool to go and visit the Hevia family in a Tio then at night we all got back together the AP's and a few other elders that had to go to Viña from our zone to practice singing for the Christmas Choir. So on Wednesday night there were 7 Elders in our Pension. (It wasn't a party after 11 we went to bed like good boys. haha) But the next morning we woke up  a little early for exercises and went to a nearby baby futbol field and played 5 vs 5 because the other Elders from Los Vilos and our Branch President came and played with us. It was a good time.

Also on Sunday the whole Fam Hevia came, other than the Two Jesus´because they had to work.. but the boys also brought a friend and Nicolas the recent Convert has been helping us a ton on Saturday we had 12 Young men in mutual.. ahahah Nico made a facebook page and called a few of the boys on Sunday morning so that they would come to church and a few actually came! Its been awesome!

Anyways part of the presentation my comp and I did in conference was based on becoming who the Lord wants us to be and how the Mission rules help us to get there. So we made page 2 of the White bible because it doesn't exist. We copied the form that the book is made and printed out little papers to glue in there with the number 2 at the bottom ha we also gave them a big paper with things that the Lord asks and things that He hopes of Us. Anyways I wanna share what page two said. On page one it says we should Learn and live the Higher Law that Jesus Taught so we put the title of page two as The Higher Law
With these Scriptures and references:

Alma 25:15-16 (It won't let me Copy and paste...)

(then below the whole scripture we put

Moises 1:39 Work and Glory of God
D&C 11:20 Our Work
Alma 29:9 Our Gloria
Mormon 9:28 Our Goal

I know that its kinda a missionary topic but the truth is that we all need to be capable of living the higher law and so that is my invitation.

Love you all a lot its hard to express it like this but I want y'all to know it.

Hey yall (No I´m not Jake)

hahahah

Well this week was pretty Great! It was alotta fun!

On Saturday all of the missionaries from the Zone, with a few of the District leaders, we all went to a little Branch called Canela. They don't have missionaries there and there have only been 5 people going to Church so we went to visit all the members. Enough people showed up that me and my comp and one other companionship didn't receive any names to go and Visit. So we just went out and acted like we were opening a new area... Just contacting and inviting everyone to the Church. It was allota fun when someone said (I don't have time come another day) to tell them that this was the only day and that we were not going to be there again. Ha the looks that we got.. Even though it will probably be a monthly activity. I really enjoyed it. Canela Baja was the center of the Earthquake it got wrecked. Lots of building fallen and lots of sad people. It was a good time and it was a blast all the missionaries went together in a Chauffeured Van, so we just went talking and having a good time and worked really well.  The Zone here is all full of old missionaries.. Ha there is only one missionary that will still be here when I leave. This week we will have Conference with president so we have been at full getting stuff ready. ha

Also I just gotta say that Yesterday in the Church I was so Happy The three Hevia sons came to Church Jesus Ruben and Benjamin also two less active YM we had mutual on Saturday we organized a ping pong tournament 7 youth came. Its a miracle when a month ago we only had 1 young man and that was Nicolas our Convert. Anyway Nico also brought his aunt to Church so maybe we will see some Progress with her as well. Things are just to cool here I really Love Los Vilos.

Remember that Perfect Love Casteth out all Fear Moroni 8:16 (I'm pretty sure) But That scripture we should apply to our selves today. Do we really Love God do we really Love those around us? If So why would we doubt Gods love for us. God loves us Perfectly therefore he has no fear to harm us or to act and put in place commandments and rules that while they might hurt our feelings they will Save and Protect us. God does not fear hurting our feelings. We should not fear standing for the Truth. We should not fear Giving our all for the cause of Righteousness. I also believe that 1 John 4:18 Talks about the same. Its something that we need in these days. I remember that a few weeks ago I had read Mark 13 where is says that many of the Chosen would be deceived and fall away Look at where we are at now. God loves us and Loving out brother does not mean Letting him do what he wants I means Protecting him it means Defending him defending him from the snares of the enemy. The line is set we should not Cross it.

Love you all and I miss you too. But we will see each other soon enough with how fast the days Go By.

November 9, 2015

Well what a good week it has been here in Los VILOS

So we have been working at Full! The family Hevia (Jesus Jessica Jesus Ruben Benjamin and Angel) are coming along. Jesus the son still doesn't want very much, but little by little. Jessica and Angel went to Antofogasta to sell their old house so they haven't been around and the dad has been working, but they are very receptive! We planned a mutual Activity for the YM and they came and played and it was cool on Saturday and then on Sunday Ruben Benjamin and Erik a member that assisted for  the first time in all my time here came to church! So we are way exited Ruben said that is is praying a lot and that he wants his brother to believe in God and it's way cool.

We have been doing a lot of Work and listening to the Spirit, not only with the people, but also trying to help the missionaries.  On Friday night it was pretty late and we were going to go pic up the Clean Clothes from the Hermana Ada, our mamita (She is Gold. She also says hello to everyone. ha I've been way blessed with Mamitas) anyways we decided to pass by one more person and turned out it was her birthday, and she was pretty depressed. She is a member but has not been active for a very long time. She didn't even have a BOM so we gave her one as a Birthday gift and it was cool we changed her Birthday hahaha.

Anyways a quick thought I have heard about the Churches recent statement and wish to say that is is good and pure to protect people also it comes from the Lord. I don't have time to talk to much but I know that times are going to get rougher.

So when I was in YM D&C 6 thanks to my father was on the wall and it has taken a great roll in my life. This is revelation Given to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdrey. Cowdrey later was a little in active and fell away from the Church. I'm no Judge of him but I wish that we could take this council from the Lord for our days. Look unto him. I love you all and Hope that we can remain loyal to the Lord in first place by Following his prophet.

D&C 6:32-37

32 Verily, verily, I say unto you, as I said unto my disciples, where two or three are gathered together in my name, as touching one thing, behold, there will I be in themidst of them—even so am I in the midst of you.

33 Fear not to do good, my sons, for whatsoever ye sow, that shall ye also reap; therefore, if ye sow good ye shall also reap good for your reward.

34 Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail.

35 Behold, I do not condemn you; go your ways and sinno more; perform with soberness the work which I have commanded you.

36 Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not.

37 Behold the wounds which pierced my side, and also the prints of the nails in my hands and feet; be faithful, keep my commandments, and ye shall inherit the kingdom of heaven. Amen.

Love yall

November 2, 2015

Well ladies and Gentlemen its been 360 days since I left home the third round of my mission. This week I'll complete a year.
What a year it has been and honestly it's been a huge blessing I have grown to love this Gospel so much. The Scriptures are my Best Friend I look forward to reading them and finding a new treasure everyday even in something that I have read lots of times.
The love that I have grown to develop it something that I also treasure. I love the people much more than I have before. It's been a great year. I could go on for hours talking about all I have learned but I don't have time for that.
So on to a quick recap about the week.
-We got a guy to pour his alcohol out in the street it was a fun experience. ha
-We ate cake and sang to Elder Contreras. He is a great Elder who has a story that one day hopefully I'll have time to share.
-So many miracles. I honestly could not believe it. We found another family The parents are inactive but the they have four sons.
Jessica is the mom
Jesus is the Dad
And four sons
Jesus 15
Ruben 13
Benjamin 10
Angel 6
We are really excited to work with them and it's cool because being the Counselors of the Young mens gives you a little more power to get them excited.

- The area of south america is doing a read the BOM before the April Conference so we did a cool calendar with the leader misional.

Other than that its been a great week. I really am short on time becasue we had to send a crap load of monthly information so the next week I'll try to write a little more. But I am doing really well. I love this thing that I wake up doing everyday.

October 26, 2015

Hola a todos mis queridos amigos y los que son Familia y los que considero mi familia.

I sometimes feel at a loss of words and don't know what to say. In the mission I have learned that those moments are moments when I don't need to say anything. Sometimes just sit in silence and let things take there course. But Right now I feel at a loss of words to type hahaaha so I'm just going to go with it.

My new comp got here on Wednesday. Well I went to Viña and we came back together he is really a cool guy. ha He is from Lehi, Utah. Elder Lucas Draney, He graduated in 2012 like me and we actually played each other in football our senior year. It's the first time in the second time of my mission that I am with a greengo let alone one from my home. ha so it's been nice!

Also this time of year over the last two years has been a lot of time of changes and it makes me reflect a lot on who I was and who I am now. It's not to be prideful or build myself up but I feel strengthened I feel the Lords strength around me I feel Good even in Trials. And things are very clear to me. I have no idea what I will do with my life after the mission as far as details, but I also don't want to much advice at this point in time, but what I do know is what I want to do tomorrow and everyday over the next several months. I have grown to love Sharing this gospel and feeling the spirit. But also I have learned to love laughing and making others feel good while they enjoy a moment. It still can be hard sometimes because its something that requires confidence making others feel good. But its a two way system.

Anyways everything is really good here we are seeing a lot of progress our branch mission leader is activating and we had a meeting on Saturday with him and we have a few families that hopefully we can start teaching.

I was asked it anti Mormon stuff is big here and the truth is that yes everyone has heard something anti Mormon. Is it as strong as what it might be in the bible belt for my brother, I highly doubt it. Talking with a friend that I have here in the mission that is from Houston I could not believe the things he told me. But honestly This week I read Mark 13 and I feel like there are many answers with how to face the attacks. We will be given what we should say, so don't worry about it to much. I usually feel compelled to make them laugh about how stupid what they are saying is. For example why are there steeples on the church. I tell them because we are aliens hahahaha and then they laugh and it makes everything an easier enviroment or when they start to bad talk Joseph Smith the trick is to remain calm and let the spirit guide, testify of truth, and make the best of the situation. Some hearts are just to hardened but not everyone is going to the Celestial Kingdom even though as a missionary sometims its hard to accept.. We got to find the Chosen ones and call on them.

I really am having a great time and trying to do my best I thank you each one for the support and prayers.
Miss you guys

October 19, 2015

Well what a crazy week My comp left and now I'm in a trio with the other Elders here until Wednesday when the new one comes. I have zero idea who it will be but that's how changes always are here. So I'm excited. Our last week was pretty crazy. My time is kinda short because I'm alone now as far as sending the numbers and information to the mission so It took a little longer today. So I'll try to send more pics to make up for less writing okay?

-Monday we ate sushi with the President of the Branch and his family way good
-We taught some really good lessons together as our last week teaching the commandments with lots of power.
-We have been visiting the mission leader that was inactive. He came to the activity and to church and we will have a meeting on Saturday :)
- Our Converts are too cool! Blanca is moving to Utah in December but teaches all her people here that She is Mormon ha she was a 7th day as well so its pretty cool.
- We did a talent night activity you will have to see the pictures... We bought wigs and did a little show hahaha
-Elder Fraser is in Viña now and will leave on Tuesday to Argentina so that was the week basically!

Love Elder Biesinger

Saying good-bye to Elder Fraser

October 12, 2015

Hola Buenas.

So, this week was very windy.  The sun was hot, but the southern wind was freezing cold... We survived in the end, but it was a fun time, the weather throws on fun experiences.

So this week
-Mabel organized her first Family Home Evening all by herself and did a great job it's cool to see so much change.
-Nicolas still doesn't have school because his school that is in Illapel was damaged pretty bad so he has been going with us to lessons, it's been great the kid has a testimony that makes people cry.  We also have been singing to the Grandma's with Nico and it's been a fin time.
-We had Zone meeting and it was a good time. The sisters brought breakfast with brownies, banana bread, quesadillias and jello. ha It was pretty great I'll send pictures.
-I went to Salamanca on an interchange we had a good time I saw lots of damage. I'll send pictures.
-On the way back on the bus there was little kids throwing up ha it was a fiasco.
-We left one of out investigators (Janed) because she is kinda scared of her boyfriend so she doesn't go to church and we did all we could as well as the other missionaries during the last 2 years...
-Chile beat Brazil 2-0 and Argentina lost to Equador so everyone has been bugging Elder Fraser haha
-We did a service carrying 2 small washing machines one at a time from one house to another about a mile away. hahaha
- We have been eating way to much because everyone wants to spoil Elder Fraser in his last few weeks.

All in all time is going by and I am having a blast teaching the Gospel and trying to be the Absolute best I can be.  This will be the last week with my Comp. so we will see what happens, but change is good

Love you guys

PICTURES DIDN'T COME THROUGH....SO SORRY

October 5, 2015

Buenas

So what a week, I loved the conference. I loved the week. Its so great to Just know and feel so strongly that everything you are doing is OK. That the Church is true and lead by spiritual Giants. So here is a quick summary of my week.

-Monday was good we ate pizza and had two good lessons with our converts
-Tuesday we went to Sergio Herrera he is a member who is struggling a little bit, his basically adopted son passed away and he is having a hard time. But he is coming around and is ever strong. Especially for being a member since April of 2013.
-After that we went with Nicolas our convert to his Aunts house. She is Awesome we taught her and she came to the conference and Nicolas is working so that he can baptise her. WE FOUND SOMEONE :) also it's cool because it could help that all of Nico's family might soften their hearts. So Ana Maria is her name we have to teach her she can't Drink wine, but that probably the biggest issue... Hopefully.
-Wednesday we got on the Bus and went to Viña my companion had to take the end of your mission English exam to get a certificate for work and school opportunities he did really well. we had to go Wednesday because there was no buses on Thursday that met the hour.
-Thursday we woke up and played a game of soccer in a rain storm with the AP's and the Office elders 4 on 5 we won.
We then had planning for the week and the APs had to go do interviews so we were there in their pension, then we went and worked in their area Viña doing contacts. It was pretty difficult it was raining and the people in the City of Viña are not so loving. They live a faster life. The Aps have another area but we don't know how to get there so we just worked where we were.
-Friday we had leader conference with President Díaz and his Wife it was a great experience we learned a lot.
Then obviously Saturday and Sunday Conference
So we are pretty spiritually charged.

With all that being said. I want to talk about the parable of the two men that one built his house upon the Rock and the Other upon the sand.
As you know We had a 8.4 earthquake here in my Zone.
Los Vilos is Built on a massive rock that goes deep into the ground. While the intensity of the quake was practically the same as other areas the damage was almost nothing from the earthquake itself (the tsunami had its way).
Illapel is built on top of loose dirt. Many of the buildings have fallen to the ground and were destroyed.

LIke the gospel we cannot be built upon loose dirt. Christ organized the Church so that we would not be lost or drifted in the wind. With false doctrines.

After this weekend I KNOW that we are built upon the rock. I feel the firmness of the Gospel and of its Leaders.
Christ is at the head. We shall not fear, Let us have faith, ask in prayer what more can we do, "ponderize" Or study the scriptures, treasure the women in our lives and always remember what Christ has done for us. I know that there were many lessons from the conference but these are a few.

I love you all. Thank you for your prayers.

September 28, 2015

Well another week ha and another month.. how crazy.

This week was great!

-All week long there was lots of Aftershocks but if it doesn't get up to above a 7 its just a little tremor; and it's just like a daily comment no one does much.
- Nicolas is blessing the Sacrament and going with us to lessons we had a really cool lesson on the Gospel of Christ with him and Mabel the are both really smart and shared good testimony.
-We did lots of service throwing all the destruction in the street then the city and the military come by and take it away. Its a pretty good system there was about 8 inches of sand around all the house of one member family.
-Last Monday we prepared food and supplies to send to those members most in need.
-While doing service there was lots of Star fish dying, we threw them into the ocean.
-I saw a dead otter...
-We had interviews in the pension with President (Un 7) That means A+ it was really good.
-On Thursday it rained pretty hard and there was a strong tremor while it was raining pretty cool.
-We went to Salamanca all the roads to get there are lined with piles of rock but BIG rocks..
-While we were in a meeting the ground shook everyone just kept doing their thing. ha Everyone is accustomed to it.
-We found a guy named Pedro. He is a fisherman with a member, hopefully we will see some progress in him.
-We still haven't been able to teach them but we found a family :) Hopefully they will be receptive

We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul — We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

The 13th article of Faith. It is something we believe but it is also something we should live it is one of the things that separates us from the world.
Are we honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous? Do we do good to all men? Do we know what the admonition of Paul is?
We should believe all things, we should have Hope for better things, and we should grin and endure all things. This separates us from the natural man submission to Gods Will over us. Virtue, beauty, highly talked about, praised I want these things.

The conference should be a great time to take advantage to be a little better answer a few questions and stand a little stronger.

Love you guys.
Elder Biesinger.

They are all supposed to be hamming it up.

ALL IS WELL POST. Sept. 18, 2015

So they gave us ten minutes to send a Quick message to tell you all we are alive and all is well. It has been a great experience in the end all the missionaries are fine no problems just cleaning up the damage. No injuries in the Zone as far as missionaries few members in the District had injuries very few deaths in Chile for the magnitude. The Sea left its boundries in a minature tsunami destroyed lots of structure we spent most the day yesterday putting the ocean back in its place in the houses of a few members. Our house is all well. Quite the story to tell. I have most of the action on video. I would do it again if I had the chance. But im glad that no one was seriously injured. We have water and power now in the whole Zone. They might cut the water in the next few days in one of the towns but we will have interchanges next week with those Elders so no worries! Love you all.

The center of the Earthquake was very close to Los Vilos registering a 8.4 Richter.
It was a very long quake we were in the street. It almost threw me to the ground in one point. Talking with other parts in another town you were not able to stay on your feet.

But We are all well.

Much love!
Elder Biesinger

September 14, 2015 letter

What a WEEK wahoo! We are going with the Frasinger power for six more weeks! So on Tuesday night Elder Herrera called us and said that Elder Fraser was going to leave the Area. We were with Mabel and she started to cry, she left and then He called back and said it was a joke that everyone in the Zone was going to stay this change and that two more Elders would come to replace the ones that went home. So, its a good new change we are pretty excited. Sometimes for exercise in the morning we go play soccer 2 vs 2 and I'm getting a little bit better... ha Also of course I feel like I have progressed a lot as a minister of Christ. We have been greatly blessed and I am understanding what it means to Teach with POWER and AUTHORITY.

-Nicolas received the Aaronic Priesthood and is already making plans for the mission.
-I spoke on Sunday and it was really fun.
- The Elders that came to the Zone didn't get there in time to catch a bus so we had to save them at 12 midnight they slept in our house with us. ha
-Mabel is seeing so many miracles in her life for her obedience its incredible I couldn't even begin to tell you.
-Saturday we decided we had to participate in the world service project even though the branch didn't do anything so we called President Díaz and asked if we could do a project we put on the helping hands yellow and went around collecting TONS of garbage. A preacher dude set up his loud speaker and started preaching while we were picking up trash it was a cool experience to let your light shine through your GOOD WORKS.
-Today we went to the south of town there is no beach just pure rocks ill send pics it was really cool there is an island that's full of sea lions.

Really I have learned so much in my life and it is a blessing to both learn A LOT more and apply what I have learned to help other people,

Love Elder Biesinger

PS this week we need to find investigators a FAMILY preferably if you could just remember that in your prayers so that we can make the most of our time here teaching the chosen people. Remember the Scripture Moroni 7:26 if we ask and its good we can receive.

Thank you for all the love and support.
