James Biesinger: January 5, 2015

Okay so everyone!

This week was still like vacations here Chileans are pro at making long weekends. So today should be the beginning of everything going back to normal. Seriously though. This week was filled with drunks and a whole lot of people that "no estan nialli" (not here or there) it means they don't give a rats to do anything but sleep and eat and party and don't want anything to do with us. ha So this week I really have focused on fine tuning my desire for the salvation of them. Its been an experience to read in the scriptures, the characters of the great teachers and leaders and gain those characters to practice them and ask that they may accompany me. I have learned to feel the heart ache so much more when someone rejects me, but it only has motivated me more to keep on searching.

Something cool that we talked about in Gospel Principals was the spirit world. All of the spirits of those that have passes are here on earth with us. We all know that. But for me I have been trying to thing about it more deeply. That would mean that the spirits of my family and the great missionary's of the scriptures should be here as well. How many of them have supported us or been there in our times of trial or are watching with heavy hearts in our times of defeat and when we fall. Or how many celebrate in our times of victory. Never forget the gospel is real, that these things are not make believe. It gives a new spirit and a new energy to life.

Other than the fact that its summer here and Christmas is weird in the heat the coolest thing about summer is all the Fruit here. Literally I can walk down almost any street and pick a few plums or some grapes or an orange. Lemons and all the fruits that we don't have at home, let alone you don't know they exist. I have learned to love mango's and cherries and the people are always giving us avocados and watermelon and all kinds of fruit. Its awesome.

So we had changes but we both stayed. Its kinda nice though we will have another six weeks to sew more seeds and hopefully reap a few of out crops from all the work of the last change.

Well other than that idk what more to say. The new years eve was a good time we went to a barbecue with the stake president and his family no one else invited us to come over because they all go watch the huge fire work show that they do in the coast. The stake pres has 5 little kids and its just not safe to take them there so we went over there and his wife's brother and his family came, they are from my comps last area. It was a great time and it was cool to spend a few hours with them. We went there at 8 and went to our pension at 11. I was Just getting ready to lay down when the noise started. It was insane. All the birds from the coast got scared and flew inland leaving our area like a zoo of birds all you could hear was people celebrating and popping bottles of campaign and birds freaking out and dogs barking going nuts. hahah

Well that's the letter of the week I hope everyone has started off the year 2015 happy and ready to meet their Goals! Remember the ultimate goal is to be PREPARED TO MEET GOD. I love you all and wish you the best.
